East Coast Radio season of sharing telethon: A resounding success in partnership with Pick n Pay

East Coast Radio’s season of sharing telethon has once again shown the power of working together and caring for others.

On 6 December, in partnership with Pick n Pay, the campaign raised an impressive R 1,153,160 to support families in need in KwaZulu-Natal.

This year’s effort builds on last year’s success, where over 600 families received food hampers, providing more than 165,000 meals. Thanks to our partners’ generosity, the support from KZN listeners, and everyone involved, we’ll be able to bring more joy this festive season.

Elisha Parbhoodeen, Pick n Pay KZN customer service manager, said this: “At Pick n Pay, we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. The season of sharing telethon with East Coast Radio was a great chance to help. As the official food sponsor, we’re delighted to have provided essential food and resources to families facing hunger this holiday. By including fresh produce, basics, and seeds in the hampers, we’re not just fighting immediate hunger, but also helping families find lasting solutions for food security. It’s been amazing to see this campaign’s impact, and we look forward to working with East Coast Radio to bring more hope to KZN in the future.”
